The research examines 'The Personality of the Intellectual' in the Omani novel, by discussing two novels 'Sayed al Qamar' by Joukha Al Harethi, and 'Ben Solaa' by Ali Al Maamari. The study aims to get to know what the educated person is and the extent of its presence in the Omani novel, by adopting the inductive analytical method. After reading and analyzing in the previous two versions of studies found, a number of results can be summarized in two main ways: • The two stories offered two pictures for the Omani intellectual First and foremost, The image of the intellectual in the local society seemed as an active party in it, although the levels of activism differ from one intellectual to the other, but female and male Omani intellectuals are equally active in the change attempts. However, reform attempts seem slow given the many internal and external challenges. Second: The image of the Omani intellectual who lives in the West seemed as revolting on the conditions of his country, but his revolt, despite the conditions of his residency in a free country, did not lead to a real action. He yielded to the temptations of the West and thus became alienated and inactive. • The stories of the two authors blamed and condemned Omani intellectuals who have individual rather than collective feelings. For this reason, the reform movement for these intellectuals seemed lame. This is due to the fact that Omani intellectuals did not put their own concerns and those of their society together in order to develop themselves as well as their society.
