The research paper looks into the lack of mental health care and awareness regarding common mental health disorders among adolescents in Oman. It was focused on understanding the withdrawal from obtaining mental health assistance by collecting data from the general public and through primary sources. I have concluded that there are three main causes of withdrawal that must be considered in the solution. Firstly, Oman's collectivist culture. Traditional value systems in Oman are collectivist in orientation and value group harmony; thus, the development of selfhood is generally discouraged in favor of harmonious collectivity and cohesion, and the expression of emotions is socially discouraged. Secondly, religion and beliefs. Due to socio-cultural conditioning, mental struggles are linked to external forces like jinn and the evil eye; therefore, traditional healers' substantial role in treating mental illnesses throughout history in the country. Lastly, geographical factors like the maldistribution of services also prevent many Omanis, especially in rural areas, from obtaining help from mental health facilities, as most of the facilities are located in the capital city. The proposed solution involves creating a digital platform specializing in telepsychology, providing a safe environment for receiving treatment and raising awareness about mental health.
